Invisalign benefits:

Invisalign is nearly invisible and hardly noticeable
Invisalign can be removed for proper brushing and flossing to ensure optimal oral hygiene
Invisalign can also be removed when eating and drinking and allows you the freedom to eat what you want as food will not get caught in the aligners as they would with metal braces
Invisalign is comfortable as it does not irritate teeth and gums the way metal braces do

How long does Invisalign take?

We will schedule in regular appointments throughout your Invisalign treatment – usually about once every eight weeks – to ensure that your Invisalign treatment is on track and progressing as planned.

Do I need teeth removed?

As Invisalign utilises the advanced technology of computerised treatment software, often there is no need for any of your teeth to be removed, even if they are mildly crowded. By avoiding teeth removal, this means less discomfort for you along with reduced costs and a quicker treatment period.

Is Invisalign comfortable?

Most people will experience a temporary feeling of pressure over the first few days of each new stage of treatment. This is a positive sign as it means that your new Invisalign aligners are working to sequentially move your teeth to their final destination. This feeling of pressure typically goes away after a couple of days after you fit in your new Invisalign aligner.

Will Invisalign affect my speech?

Like all orthodontic treatments, your Invisalign aligners may temporarily affect your speech by giving you a slight lisp. However, as your tongue adjusts to having aligners in your mouth, any lisp or minor speech impediment caused by the Aligners should disappear in a few days. The more you wear your aligners, the quicker you will adjust to them.

What foods can I eat with Invisalign?

Unlike traditional wires & brackets, you can eat a wide variety of foods throughout your Invisalign treatment because you can remove your Invisalign aligners to eat and drink. However, a diet that is high in sugars and involves frequent snacks should be avoided in order to maintain good oral health.

It is also vitally important that you brush your teeth after each meal and prior to re-inserting your Invisalign aligners to maintain proper oral hygiene.

Will my teeth move after my Invisalign treatment is finished?

In order to prevent your teeth moving or relapsing after Invisalign treatment is completed, We will recommend that you wear retainers. After your Invisalign treatment is completed, most patients will continue to wear clear plastic retainers throughout the night whilst you sleep only.

Is Invisalign an option if I’ve already had braces?

If you have had braces in the past and have not been wearing retainers, your teeth may have moved or relapsed. The d-spa team has successfully treated many patients that have been in this situation using Invisalign treatment as an alternative to wearing braces again.
